Since 2010, the expenditure on primary education in Sweden increased each year. Whereas the total expenditure on primary education in 2010 was 76 billion Swedish kronor, this figure had increased to nearly 139 billion kronor by 2022. In 2020, Sweden spent more than 125,000 Swedish kronor per primary school pupil.
