In Italy, in 2020, the greatest number of people reading newspapers at least once a week (about 4.8 million readers) were mainly living in metropolitan areas of ten thousand to 50 thousand inhabitants. On the other hand, the lowest amount of readers lived in small municipalities with less than two thousand inhabitants, where the number of individuals added up to about one million.
