The figure shows the different reasons why shoppers shop at discounters in the United Kingdom in 2016. Of shoppers 71 percent choose discounters because they are the cheapest. The second most mentioned reason is to avoid over-promotion that is common at the Big 4 grocery stores (Tesco, Sainsbury´s, Asda and Morrisons).
