Adidas and Reebok net sales in Europe 2014-2020

adidas is among the top three most valuable global apparel brands. The Germany-based sports retailer’s biggest market is Western Europe, where more than a quarter of its net sales comes from. This includes both adidas and Reebok sales, another high-profile footwear brand owned by the adidas Group.

Sales decline in 2020

Net sales of both adidas and Reebok brands fell flat in Europe in 2019, with adidas showing only a slight improvement on the previous year. In contrast, adidas Group’s sales on the other side of the Atlantic had been climbing each year. In 2020, however, both brands had been suffering the consequences of the coronavirus pandemic, with net sales decreasing in all of the company's active markets.

Brand collaborations

adidas is the closest rival of the undisputed leader of the global sports goods market: Nike. In the footwear segment, worldwide sales figures have placed the pair at the very top, where not only the numbers, but also the brand identities of each player are competing against each other. Currently, one of adidas’ most high-profile collaboration is with Kanye West, with whom adidas released its Yeezy line.
