This statistic shows the distribution of the household expenditure in Belgium in 2020, by commodity. In 2020 the average Belgian household spent 31.8 percent of their budget on housing, water, fuel and power, and 15.9 percent of the household budget on food and non-alcoholic drinks.

* The figures are derived from the Household Budget Survey (according to the EU example, EU-HBS). Under Supervision, the participating families fill out a questionnaire during one month. From 2012 onwards 6000 households participated every year.
