The figures are seasonally adjusted estimates, measured using the Retail Sales Index (RSI) and published in index form with a reference year of 2019 equal to 100. Over this period of time, sales had a slightly increasing trend until 2020, where it sharply dropped to an all-time low of 64.4 in the second quarter of 2020. As of the first quarter of 2024, the value of retail sales in this category was below the index level at 97.
