This statistic shows chores that resulted in children "earning" pocket money in the United Kingdom (UK) in 2015, by parent's gender. The types of chores earning financial rewards were similar for both parents. Mothers were more likely than fathers however to reward their children for help in tidying up the house (39 percent of women interviewed in contrast to 31 percent of men). Washing windows was rewarded by 21 percent of dads compared to 15 percent of moms; similarly mowing the lawn earned children money from 22 percent of dads and 14 percent of moms.
