The value of works of art, collectors' pieces, and antiques imported into the United Kingdom decreased by roughly 16 percent in 2023 compared to the previous year. Overall, imports of art and antiques amounted to approximately 1.9 billion British pounds in 2023, declining from around 2.2 billion British pounds in 2022. Over the period considered, the value of art and antiques imported into the UK peaked in 2012 when it amounted to almost five billion British pounds.
