The majority of home buyers in the United States in 2023 purchased their homes through a real estate agent or broker. At least 45 percent of home buyers across all age groups expected the real estate agent to help them find the right home to purchase. Besides finding the right home, the expectations of buyers from real estate agents included helping them with the financing aspects of the home purchase process.
