This statistic displays the total contract value of federal energy savings performance contracts (ESPCs) executed through the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) from 2004 to 2015. In 2008, there were 22 ESPCs executed by the DOE which totaled some 729 million U.S. dollars in value. Most states in the Pacific, Mid-Atlantic, and New England have adopted electric efficiency savings legislation.
