The production value of the repair of motor vehicles and motorcycles industry in the United Kingdom increased by 1.3 billion euros (+2.21 percent) since the previous year. In total, the production value amounted to 59.6 billion euros in 2018. This increase was preceded by a declining production value in this industry. The value of production is defined by Eurostat as the amount actually produced by the unit, based on sales, including changes in stocks and the resale of goods and services.

Income and expenditure classified as financial or extra-ordinary in company accounts is excluded from production value. Data coverage corresponds to code G45 of the CE_R2 of economic activities, which is wholesale and retail trade and repair of motor vehicles and motorcycles.
