For what reasons do people in the United States subscribe to video streaming services, such as Netflix, Hulu or HBO Now? A survey from 2024 found that the top reason was specific individual content that they want to watch, at 52 percent of respondents. Second most important for the people interviewed was original series made by the service is must-see TV.
