Get in touch with us nowChrome held the biggest market share among the web browsers in Norway, as of August. Leading with roughly 50 percent of the total market share, it was followed by Safari, which had over 33 percent.
That year Chrome was the leading desktop web browser by market share as well. Second on the Norwegian desktop browser market came Safari. In contrast, Safari ranked first among the mobile web browsers in the country, holding over half of the market share, and it was closely followed by Chrome. Samsung Internet held over seven percent of the market, whereas all the other mobile web browsers held less than one percent each.
Worldwide, Chrome for Android was the leading web browser version in January 2021. Second in the list was another version of Chrome: Chrome 87.0 and Safari iPhone. Chrome 88.0 ranked fourth, while Safari 14 ranked fifth that month.
