The number of persons not in census families receiving employment insurance benefits in Canada decreased by 267,540 units (-35.03 percent) since the previous year. The year marks a significant change in the number compared to the previous year. Nevertheless, the last two years recorded a significant higher number than the preceding years.
A person not in census families is an individual who is not part of a census family, couple family or lone-parent family. Persons not in census families may live with their married children or with their children who have children of their own. They may be living with a family to whom they are related or unrelated.
