In Canada, the highest number of venture capital (VC) deals were signed in the information and communications technology (ICT) sector in 2023. A total of 312 VC deals were signed in the ICT sector that year, followed by 154 deals signed in the life sciences sector. A significantly lower number of deals were signed in the cleantech and agribusiness sectors, amounting to 75 deals and 50 deals, respectively.
