This statistic illustrates how European survey participants reponded to a question about features that they believe the car of the future must offer. A total of 84.4 percent of respondents stated that they thought automatic hazard recognition to be a an important function. A third of those surveyed either completely or somewhat agreed that the car of tomorrow should not require a driver's licence due to expected developments in autonomous vehicle technology.
