Frequency of visits to restaurants in France in 2015

According to a survey conducted in France in January 2015, approximately a third of the respondents stated that they go to restaurants at least once a month, while more than 80 percent went at least once a year.  

Habits of going to the restaurant among the French

   In the same survey, 19 percent of French declared going at least once a month to a fast food restaurant. When going to the restaurant, a third of surveyed in 2018 mentioned to choose a restaurant near their home or workplace two to ten times a year. In addition to this, the budget devoted to restaurant outings appears to have remained stable for 43 percent of French, whereas a fifth declared that their budget for eating at restaurants had strongly decreased between 2016 and 2017.  

Online food delivery booking in France

   In France, the online food delivery service Allo Resto ranked as most used among respondents according to the Statista Global Consumer Survey: more than half of them were using this food delivery booking brand (stat 998278). As of 2017, almost 20 percent of French interviewed ordered food delivery at home about once a week.
