Annually between 2014 and 2019, the use of card payments in the European Union changed. Compared to 2014, there were 10.7 percent more card transactions made in the EU member states in 2015. As of 2019, there was an annual increase of 11.6 percent in the European Union. Card payments are an important means of digital payment in the European Union.
