This timeline depicts the volume of bread consumed in Spain from 2008 to 2021, by type, in million kilograms. Regular fresh bread was by far Spain's favorite type of bread throughout the analyzed period of time, despite its constant decline that initiated in 2009, and amounted to slightly over 900 million kilograms in 2021. Other types of bread followed far behind, the most consumed being fresh industrial bread, with a total volume of 291 million kilograms in 2021.
