In 2022, a total of 7.49 kilograms of cheese were consumed per capita in Spain from a variety of types of cheese as depicted above. The most consumed type of cheese by Spaniards that year was fresh cheese with an annual per capita consumption of two kilograms. Semi-cured cheese was the second favorite as each person on average bought roughly 1.7 kilograms that year.
