French insurance market: number of employees 2004-2020
The number of people employed in the insurance market in France remained relatively consistent between 2004 and 2020. Employee numbers peaked in 2020, when there were over 149,000 people working in the French domestic insurance sector. In 2019, there were approximately 147,600 employees working in the domestic French insurance sector. This was around 200 employees more than the previous year, and almost ten thousand more employees than at the beginning of the time period under observation.
