In the campaign 2018/2019, Spain exported abroad approximately four million metric tons of citrus fruits. Spain mostly traded oranges to other countries, with an export volume that amounted to over 1.7 million metric tons. Almost 500,000 metric tons of Spanish oranges exports had Germany as a destination, being the main destination inside of the EU. Small varieties of citruses were the second most exported type of citrus, reaching an export volume of approximately 1.5 million metric tons during the analyzed period.
