In 2019, the incidence rate for all cancer cases reached 548 per 100,000 population among males. Cancer is one of the leading causes of premature death and almost half the individuals in Canada will develop this disease during their lifetime.

Actual data were available to 2019 for all provinces and territories except Nova Scotia (latest year 2018) and Quebec (latest year 2010) because this data had not yet been submitted to the Canadian Cancer Registry at the time of analysis. Estimates for 2020–2023 are projected.
