This statistic shows the total value of life insurance benefits paid on the Austrian domestic insurance market between 2004 and 2020. Between 2004 and 2015, the value of life insurance benefits paid increased, reaching a peak value of over 8.4 billion euros. The period after 2015 was marked by an year-on-year decrease until 2018, when the amount of benefits paid by life insurance companies was approximately 6.6 billion euros. In 2020, the total value of benefits paid increased to approximately 7.85 billion euros.
