This statistic shows the views of respondents to the Department of Energy and Climate Change (DECC) Public Attitude Tracking Survey about having renewable heat in their home. Overall, 46 percent of respondents were, to some degree, positive about the prospect.
How positive or negative would you say you are towards the idea of having a renewable heating system in your home?
When referring to renewable heat, the survey indicates that it means heating systems using energy from biomass or the sun, or which use electricity to draw heat from the ground, water or air to heat a home. This does not include solar panels which produce electricity.
