Value of bank assets in Canada 2002-2022
The value of total assets in the banking industry in Canada increased between 2002 and 2022. The assets of Canadian banks increased from approximately 1.2 trillion U.S. dollars in 2002 to roughly 5.04 trillion U.S. dollars in 2022. The two largest banks in the country are Toronto-Dominion Bank and Royal Bank of Canada, both with assets of around two trillion Canadian dollars.
