In 2018, there were 474.8 thousand people who participated in gymnastics, trampolining or cheerleading at least twice a month at any intensity for any duration in England. In 2018, the most popular group of sports was running, athletics or multi-sport, followed by team sports with respectively 6.9 and 3.1 million monthly participants.
