This statistic presents the proportion of adults who visited a museum or gallery in the last year in England, between 2012 and 2019, by socio economic group. Of respondents to the 2018/19 survey, 60 percent in the upper socio-economic group had attended a museum or a gallery at least once in the previous 12 months, compared to 36 percent of those in the lower socio-economic group.
