This statistic illustrates the development of financial assets of pension funds as a share of gross domestic product (GDP) in Italy from 2010 to 2019. It can be seen that the financial assets of pension funds increased overall during the period under observation, reaching a share of 6.12 percent as of 2019. The lowest value was found in 2010 and 2011, when financial assets of pension funds reached a share of 1.9 percent of the country's GDP.
