Sanofi’s U.S. market revenue amounted to some 18.5 billion U.S. dollars in 2023. In the same year, the pharmaceutical and consumer healthcare company headquartered in France generated about 10.4 billion U.S. dollars in Europe.

Over the last few years, the company had generated the bulk of its revenue within its pharmaceutical segment. In 2023, the Vaccines segment earned the company about 7.5 billion U.S. dollars.

An estimated 88 thousand people worked for Sanofi S.A. worldwide in 2023. Compared to 2015, the company’s total staff numbers have decreased considerably, as Sanofi’s Animal Health segment became part of a German pharmaceutical company by the name of Boehringer Ingelheim in 2016. Around half of the French company’s staff members is employed in Europe.
