This statistic is based on a survey and displays the distribution of attitudes of U.S. adults in sharing anonymous medical records for the benefit of medical research by age group, as of July 2014. Among those between 25 to 34 years of age, 28 percent strongly agreed or agreed with sharing anonymous medical records in order to benefit medical research. Medical data has begun its transfer into the electronic world and into cloud storage. Younger generations tend to be more willing to share their data, likely due to their familiarity with online culture.
