Distribution of U.S. ethanol exports by destination 2020

In 2020, some 25 percent share of U.S. ethanol exports were designated for Canada. By comparison, the U.S. exported 15 percent of the country's ethanol production to Brazil and another 15 percent to India. The ethanol industry benefits the economy of rural regions in the United States. At that year, the U.S. ethanol production amounted to 13.8 billion gallons, marking it the world's largest ethanol producer.
