In 2021, the number of employees in the extraction of crude petroleum industry in Hungary decreased by two employees (-50 percent) since 2020. This was a significant decrease in the number of employees in this industry. Nevertheless, the last two years in this industry recorded a significant higher number of employees than the preceding years. According to Eurostat employed persons are all persons aged 15 and over who performed work, even for just one hour per week, for pay, profit or family gain during the reference week or were not at work but had a job or business from which they were temporarily absent because of, for instance, illness, holidays, industrial dispute, and education or training.
