This statistic displays the distribution of UK music singles sales by artist's origin in 2016. During the period of consideration, 36.7 percent of singles sold in the United Kingdom were from UK musicians, while 37.8 percent were from musicians from the USA. However, only one British artist was presented in the year-end top 10 chart, whereas it included three U.S. artists, namely Justin Timberlake, Mike Posner and The Chainsmokers.
