This statistic shows the share of UK consumers who agree with the statement "it is important to me that retail companies are clear about where they source their raw materials, components or ingredients from". The results of the survey, conducted for the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills in June 2014, show no significant difference in the proportion of people concerned with ethical sourcing by retailers in the UK. Those in the AB and C1 social grade (upper middle and lower middle classes) showed a slightly higher concern, with 66 percent of respondents in both groups agreeing with the statement.

The survey asked participants to say to what extent they agreed or disagreed with the statement. The figures are the total of those who reposnded with 'strongly agree' or 'tend to agree'.
