This statistic shows the results of a survey asking consumers whether or not confectionery should be displayed at the checkout tills in Great Britain in 2014. In the UK, the drive for healthier eating has led to discussion around whether sweets should be displayed at supermarket checkouts, with some supermarkets having gone so far as to ban confectionery at checkout tills in their stores. According to the survey results, the larger majority of consumers appear to be in favour of this move, with 69 percent saying no to retailers displaying confectionery at the tills.
