This 2014 survey presents the share of current UK university students agreeing that they want to have their work publicly recognized in the future, looking at the subjects they study. English, Law and Engineering were the top three subjects bringing forth ambitious students, 90 percent of them felt the desire for public acknowledgement. This being the highest share, there was still a majority in the other areas of studies feeling the same way, in all the fields, at least 70 percent of the students agreed that they wanted to build something that will be publicly recognized. Students studying sciences showed slightly stronger agreement than medical study fields and linguistics.
