This statistic shows a ranking of the most purchased chilled ready meal brands within March to May 2014. The survey, conducted for Bord Bia Irish Food Board, asked consumers what ready meal brands they had bought in the past 4 weeks. Over half of the brands mentioned were supermarket brands. Of the remaining brands, Weight Watchers ready meals were bought by 20 percent of respondents.

* Besides the quantitative research method (online questionnaire, 522 respondents), additional qualitative research was conducted in April and May 2014. This comprised of an online forum (April 14 to 18, 2014, with 25 respondents per region aged 25-55) and three accompanied shops per region (accompanying consumers on weekly shopping trips, followed by a face-to-face interview).
