According to the survey conducted for Bord Bia Irish Food Board, 43 percent of respondents purchased pre-prepared chilled soup from The New Covent Garden Soup Company, ranking it as the most popular chilled soup brand during March-May 2014.

Respondents were asked which brands they had bought in the past 4 weeks.
* Besides the quantitative research method (online questionnaire, 522 respondents), additional qualitative research was conducted in April and May 2014. This comprised of an online forum (April 14 to 18, 2014, with 25 respondents per region aged 25-55) and three accompanied shops per region (accompanying consumers on weekly shopping trips, followed by a face-to-face interviews).
