UK: mobile phone use to go online by age 2013-2020

This statistic displays the findings of a survey on the use of smartphones to go online in the United Kingdom (UK) from 2013 to 2020, by age. In 2020, the share of respondents aged between 16 and 24 accessing the internet from their smartphones was 87 percent, down from the previous year. During the survey in 2014, it was found that 81 percent of all respondents aged between 16 and 24 years used a mobile phone to access the internet. In 2018 the share of respondents had peaked at 96 percent of the age group.
