Consumer satisfaction regarding media in the United States – additional information
When surveyed on whether TV, movies and entertainment in the United States in 2014 was better or worse than those in developed countries, eight percent of Millennials believed that it was much or somewhat worse than in other developed countries. On the other hand, 68 percent of Millennials believed that TV, movies and entertainment in the United States was much or somewhat better than other developed countries.
When it comes to consumers who are satisfied with their TV quality, those in the United States are ranked third worldwide, with 61 percent of consumers stating they were satisfied with their TV quality in October 2013. In comparison, 72 percent of respondents from the United Kingdom stated they were satisfied, making them the most satisfied country worldwide. At the other end of the ranking however, only 23 percent of TV consumers in Spain stated that they were satisfied with the quality of TV.
In a survey of adults aged 18 year olds and above, from September 2013 to October 2013 in the United States, 15 percent of consumers reported that they felt the quality of television programs in the United States was of very good quality. A further 46 percent of respondents stated that the television programs were of fairly good quality whereas seven percent felt that the quality of TV programs was very poor.
