This survey shows the share of respondents who claim to shop at discount stores in the United Kingdom, by store type. The store types are high street chains such as Poundworld, Poundland, B&M Bargains and Home Bargains, the large discount supermarkets Aldi and Lidl and independent discounters such as local owner-managed 99p stores, pound stores and "pound plus" stores. According to a survey conducted in December 2013, 75.1 percent of respondents shop at high street chains.
