This survey shows the number of wholesale and retail premises experiencing fraud in England and Wales in 2018, by number of employees. In the 12 months prior to survey, around 3,000 retail and wholesale premises employing 50 or more people were victims of fraud. This number greatly increased when the premises were smaller in size. In businesses with 1-9 employees, the number of fraud victims was at 25,000.
