The construction output in England, Scotland and Wales increased in most construction segments in 2023. That came after several years of instability starting in 2020 with the COVID-19 pandemic. The output on public housing and private commercial works is still lower than in 2019. New infrastructure construction increased by 26 percent since 2019.
