This statistic shows the various reasons why North American consumers used third-party rental and/or monthly subscription services in the fourth quarter of 2015. Over 46 percent of the respondents answered that they found these services to be cheaper than pay-TV, while over 43 percent responded they used these services because they provided the ability to watch whole seasons of TV shows.
