Saudi Arabia is the leading OPEC member state in terms of refinery capacity. As of 2023, the country's refinery capacity amounted to some 3.3 million barrels per day. The second and third-highest refinery capacities of OPEC countries were Venezuela and Iran, respectively. In 2023, Venezuela's refinery capacity stood at roughly 2.3 million barrels per calendar day.
