This statistic shows the most important items on a nightstand during hotel stays in Great Britain in 2013. 61 percent required a lamp on their nightstands, making it the most desirable item for a comfortable stay, although half of the respondents surveyed also required a working outlet for electrical devices. A master switch for window blinds as well as an iPod doc were the least important items for respondents to have at their bedside.

The study was conducted by Ipsos on behalf of the Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts in the U.S., Great Britain, Russia and China. The number of respndents of the international sample was 3,148.
