At nearly 626,000 units, Turkey was the second largest source country for motor vehicle imports in 2022, next to the United Kingdom (UK), accounting for 16 percent of all EU vehicle imports. After withdrawing from the trade bloc, the United Kingdom has been the largest source country for EU car imports, with a 54 percent growth in car exports in 2022 as compared to 2021.
