This statistic shows the level of political interest in Great Britain from 1986 to 2012. In 2012, 32 percent of respondents had not much or no interest. This is however a decrease of 7 percent from 1986. At the same time, there was a 7 percent increase in respondents with a great deal or quite a lot of interest. So, despite declining identification with particular parties, general interest in politics has apparently not waned.
