In 2023, the value of Chinese companies' initial public offerings at overseas stock exchanges amounted to over 43 billion yuan. Despite the outbreak of COVID-19 and the resulting turbulence in global stock markets, many Chinese companies went public. However, in the following years, companies shied away from listing abroad as a consequence of increasing tensions between the United States and China.
